Brand For The Actor? What the heck does that mean?? Too many times actors wait for an agent or manager to show up and tell them who they are. Or they ask me, “what do you think I am?” I can’t tell you who you are or what roles are best for you. Nor can an agent or a manager. You must decide that for yourself.

How? It’s very simple. To decide how to define your brand, ask yourself:
- What do you want those hiring you to see?
- How do you want to be perceived by the public?
- Who’s getting the parts you want right now?
Being an actor is analogous to being an entrepreneur, which means you’ll have to build your business from the ground up. Branding is the best place to start.
Brand For The Actor – It is easier than you think!
Actors need to understand that if people don’t know what they’re buying, they’ll never buy it. So, you’ll need to decide who you want to be and manifest it. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a branding session or get help from Actor’s Fast Track to identify your brand. By all means do. I highly recommend getting help in identifying who you want to be. We help people get specific.
The first step in branding is to get very clear about what you’re selling.
You wouldn’t just open a bicycle shop and hope people would buy your bicycles. You would advertise what you have to offer and highlight all the unique aspects about your bicycles that make them more desirable to buy than your competitor’s bicycles.
In this same way, package yourself as a saleable product. Know your brand. Only then will you understand what you can offer to buyers.
